This fun and interactive show is the perfect introduction for keen youngsters to meet the instruments and the musicians behind them.
This concert will raise funds for both West Horsley Place Trust and The Menuhin School.
The Menuhin School
Founded in 1963 by celebrated violinist, Yehudi Menuhin – one of the defining figures of 20th century western culture, the school manifested his pioneering vision for a stimulating academic environment in which musically-gifted children, of all nationalities and socio-economic backgrounds, could hone their talents.
Keelan Carew
Keelan is a pianist and works in musical education with young people:
"I think music is universal, but each of us discovers it through our own special circumstances, so Sounds Connected is a little insight into my path. I was the only musician in the house growing up, so ended up with pretty eclectic musical loves. Whether influenced by my passion for the piano and deep-dives into lost keyboard masterpieces – or my sister playing her latest finds on long car journeys, I love finding those unlikely musical connections from Bartok and Afro-beats, or Mongol voices to minimalists."
