THEATRICAL FROLICS FOR ALL THE FAMILY AS PART OF THE SHAKESPEARE FOLIO 400 CELEBRATIONS

Step back in time on your visit to Hampton Court Palace and be treated to some theatrical fun for all the family. Come backstage and join a troupe of actors as they rehearse for a performance of A Midsummer Night's Dream to entertain James I and Anne of Denmark.

The King and Queen love theatre and sometimes even act onstage; they have high expectations of any performance at the palace! Following the death of the famous playwright, William Shakespeare, the players must rehearse without his direction.

Only half the acting troupe have arrived from London, so they will need all the help they can get during their rehearsals to make Shakespeare proud. Will this be your chance to shine too?
