Heritage Open Days Event

Go behind the scenes at Maidstone Museum and visit the Herbarium.

Come and see a beautiful 16th century wall painting of a grand picnic, created during the reign of Elizabeth I, which is normally hidden from sight.

Unfortunately the painting is not accessible to those with mobility issues as there are stairs to climb.

Access

No wheelchair access to half of the first floor of the museum, due to the age of the building. Unfortunately the painting is not accessible to those with mobility issues as there are stairs to climb.
