A wonderful account by Anna Forrest of the National Trust of taking up the floors at Oxburgh Hall and what they found there.
Anna Forrest is Cultural Heritage Curator for the National Trust and has worked for them in the East of England since 2003, first as Assistant Curator and from 2006 as Curator. Having studied Medieval Studies and Architectural History at undergraduate and postgraduate level, she has worked with a varied portfolio of the NT's properties, including the restoration of the Theatre Royal in Bury St Edmunds, the "Ickworth Lives" project to restore and interpret the below stairs areas in the rotunda, and the complete redisplay of Lavenham Guildhall. For the past 3 years Anna has had the privilege of working solely at Oxburgh, Norfolk, during the £6m "Raise the Roof" project, where she has been leading a research programme alongside the building works.
