Flowers for the King

King Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn visit Acton Court on their 1535 summer progress. Some of their courtiers and musicians accompany them and provide entertainment for our important guests.

There will be formal and folk dancing along with Tudor songs accompanied by the Merchant House Musicians.

The Tudor Players are an early Tudor re-enactment group, dedicated to bringing to life the glamour of the Henrician Court. They have graced Tudor days at several of the most beautiful historic house and castles in England. The Players are very approachable, and happy to answer your questions.

The Merchants House Musicians specialise in music of the Tudor and medieval periods. They perform in period costume and play lively songs and dance tunes, as well as courtly pavans. They are a perfect complement to the Tudor Players.

Other activities over the weekend with Organic Blooms, Owl Occasions, Acton Court’s artist in residence and Lady Samantha, see our website for details.
