Professor Jeremy Black MBE is a highly respected British historian writer, former professor of history at the University of Exeter and author of more than 180 historical books. Described as “the most prolific historical scholar of our age”, Jeremy will provide a fascinating insight in to Henry VIII’s England at the time when Thornbury Castle was being built and when Henry VIII visited with Anne Boleyn in 1535. For further background to this era, Professor Black has recently written an article on ‘Getting to Thornbury in the age of Henry VIII’.
