The Lord Leycester, built in the 1300's, is currently midway though an extensive major capital works improvement and renovation.
Following a £4.5 million investment, including £1.8 million from The National Lottery Heritage Fund, we are transforming the Lord Leycester, one of the most important medieval and intact buildings in Britain, into a modern, authentic visitor attraction featuring exciting new historical interpretations plus stories of the heritage buildings, and its residents past and present.
A brand new café, ticket office, gift shop and exhibition spaces are part of the plans to restore the much-loved heritage site to new glories, in the heart of Warwick.
Lord Leycester Hospital invites you to join us on a guided tour for a look behind the scenes ahead of our planned reopening this Summer 2023. On the day, visitors will also be given a once in a lifetime opportunity to become part of the Lord Leycester's history by leaving a message on one of the new tiles on the Great Hall roof!
For a minimum donation of £25, you will be given a whole tile to sign, write a message or draw a picture on. Mark a special occasion, remember a loved one or just simply add your name to our history.

NB: Please note as the site is actively under construction, Lord Leycester Hospital is unable to host individuals under the age of 18. Please also note some surfaces may be uneven and are therefore unsuitable for individuals with mobility issues.
