About this event

Enjoy an audience with Mary Queen of Scots (well, Discover Buxton Tours’ Mary Queen of Scots re-enactor). Learn about her life and visits to Buxton inside the Talbot Tower, where she stayed 450 years ago.

This is an indoor, seated performance lasting approx. one hour as part of Heritage Open Days.

Tickets are limited to two people per booking.

Please arrive between 1.15pm-1.25pm to be seated and ready for 1.30pm.

Other activities to mark the anniversary include an anniversary ceremony, a community boules/boccia tournament in the Pavilion Gardens, a portrait drawing challenge and a dramatic reading of letter correspondence pertaining to Mary’s visits to Buxton.

The anniversary events have been made possible thanks to a UK Government UK Shared Prosperity Fund Cultural Arts & Heritage Events grant via High Peak Borough Council.

Event organiser is Visit Buxton.
