Two hearts. One fate. A timeless love reborn.
The Duke’s Theatre Company presents Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, a bold reimagining of the iconic tragedy directed by Joseph Pitcher. Pitcher’s acclaimed credits include Gypsy (UK Theatre Award for Best Musical Production) and My Fair Lady at The Mill at Sonning, and Macbeth at the Salomons Theatre, Tunbridge Wells. Returning to the company following Macbeth (2025), this vibrant production also features original music by composer Rob Millett (Rambert Dance Company and The Royal Opera House, The National Theatre and Shakespeare’s Globe).

From the main car park to the Mulberry Lawn where the performance will take place, there is a step-free route along a private tarmac road to the right of the visitor’s centre. The access toilet facilities are in close proximity to the performance space.

Dogs:
Except for assistance/guide dogs, we regret that we cannot admit any dogs or other pets to our performances. We appreciate that most dogs are well behaved, but it only takes one pinched meat pie or canine stage invasion, and chaos ensues! It has to be one rule for all.

The Toilets are located near the exhibition space. You can either enter directly from Mulberry Lawn (performance space) or walk onto the terrace towards the Orangery and enter there.

Food and Drink:
Picnicking is encouraged before and during the performance, and at the interval. There will be a bar serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic refreshments, along with a variety of pizzas from Castle Crust to cater for all tastes. Canape boards will be available for pre-order only, link coming soon.
