Upton’s historic Tudor House Museum by the River Severn has recently been refurbished and is ready to welcome Heritage Open Day visitors on both weekends Saturday and Sunday afternoons for a fascinating and informative 1 hour Guided History Walk around Upton upon Severn. Our Guides will cover key historical features around the town, the battle of Upton in 1651, the role that the river played in influencing trade, the floods, celebrated personalities and much more. Then return to explore the eclectic delights of the Museum and the beautiful tranquil Garden, all lovingly cared for by a dedicated team of Volunteers. There is a vast collection of local history, vintage pastimes and professions, themed displays and wonderful collections of Lace, Glassware and Staffordshire Blue Pottery to name a few. We look forward to meeting you.

Accessibility details

Ramped access available on ground floor of the Museum and in the Garden. Toilets available via stairs to first floor, no lift. Disabled Toilets are available at the nearby Hanley Road Car Park. There are 3 car parks in the town - Hanley Road Car Park next to Warners, Old Street Car Park opposite Upton Church and New Street Car Park by the Playground. Pushchairs can be left in Reception area during your visit. Well-behaved dogs are welcome. The Tourist Information Centre (TIC) is opposite the Tudor House Museum. Please ask a Volunteer if you require any assistance during your visit.
