Experience living history demonstrations from across the centuries to discover crafts and cooking techniques of our ancestors across the ages.

Explore Medieval encampments to get up close to weaponry and get kitted out in armour to see how it might have felt to be a Knight ready to go into combat. Watch in awe re-enactments from the Middle Ages with battle displays on the Event Field (new location for 2025, see website for details).

Cheer Your Champion at the Summer Jousting Tournament

Grab the last chance to see thrilling action, stunts and falls as the Grand Finale of the Summer Jousting Tournament takes place on August Bank Holiday Weekend. Follow the procession of Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn and the Royal Foot Soldiers from the Castle forecourt to the Jousting Arena in the Event Field. Battling it out in the saddle and on foot in one-to-one combat, the valiant knights will compete for points to find this season’s ultimate champion.

There is plenty to see and do around Hever Castle Grounds during Bank Holiday weekend with Falconry Displays on the Events field with the Birds of Prey Willow Centre and adventures for all the family with The Seas of Time holiday activities. Embark on a nautical adventure and meet fascinating characters along the way.

For visitors looking to take time out from the buzz of the event, Hever Castle’s gardens and grounds provide a peaceful setting to relax, take in the scenery, and enjoy the fresh air with a walk or picnic.

Children can enjoy the adventure playgrounds, Yew Maze and Water Maze for exploration and family fun in the beautiful grounds. Test the skills you have seen on family and friends by buying mock shields, swords and armoury and finish your day off with a refreshing ice cream or cold drink.
