The Easter weekend is one of our most popular weekends of the year - with family-friendly activities and acres of gardens and woodland to explore outside.
Are you ready for an adventure? Explore our family-friendly Gardens and woodlands for a fun Easter Trail with a difference, and discover some of Kentwell's fun surprises along the way!
We have laid dozens of decorated eggs on a trail which runs around the gardens and through the woods and we challenge families to find them all, while they enjoy exploring over 30 acres of glorious country house gardens and grounds. There is also our Eggheads Challenge - 'scramble' the code on the huge wooden eggs to 'crack' the puzzle they reveal, but please don't get 'eggy' if you can't work it out! This is an egg-hunt with a difference, for the whole family to enjoy and join in with together.
Around the manor, you will also find some of our living history experts, at the Moat House, the Alchemists' Hut, the Gardens, the Forge, in the Stableyard and at the Woolshed who will encourage you to travel in time back to the year 1600, to find out all about historical cooking, baking and crafts. You will also see this year's young lambs out in the paddocks on the farm.
An active, outdoor day out for explorers of all ages - a breath of fresh air for everyone!
We recommend you dress for the weather - our pathways can become a little muddy after prolonged rainy periods. However, this is great news for our younger visitors, as it means there could be lots of puddles to splash in!
We prefer you to pre-book your visit (any time up to 10.30am on the day of your visit), so we can monitor numbers expected on site. Also, if you pre-book, you get a discount of £2 per ticket! Please arrive in good time to get the most out of your visit. You are welcome to arrive at any time from opening time until our last entry at 2.00pm. The Gardens will close at 4pm. If you are Season Ticket holders, or Historic Houses members, please also book your tickets on-line.
