Sir Thomas More worshipped at Chelsea Old Church when he and his family lived nearby. Following bombing in the Second World War, the private chapel of Sir Thomas More is one of the few original remaining sections of the church, which has now been restored.
The tombs of Jane Dudley, Duchess of Northumberland, which also contains her daughter, Katherine Hastings, Countess of Huntingdon, and of Gregory Fiennes, Lord Dacre and his wife, Anne, can be seen, along with memorials to Sir Thomas More, Sir Edmund Bray (d. 1539) and to the Hungerford family.
