A tale of long haired sheep, Italian sleeves, unhappy Portuguese merchants and refugee workers. This talk looks at the significance of the wool and cloth trade from the middle ages to the seventeenth century, and it driving force in the medieval economy
Dr C Butler has degrees in History and Drama and is a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society and a Fellow of Royal Society of Arts and Honorary Fellow of the University of Winchester.
